How to set up Binance API key?

Step-by-step guidelines on creating API Keys on Binance

Updated over a year ago

Follow the guidelines below to seamlessly integrate your CryptoSea and Binance account.

Step 1: Open your CryptoSea Dashboard and Connect Binance

This option requires the manual creation of the API Keys in Binance. For that purpose, please make sure you've selected it accordingly:

Step 2: Log in to your Binance account

Log in to your Binance account or create a new one, if you're a new user.

Step 3: Head to the API Management section

Hover over your profile icon in the upper right corner, and open the "Account" page.

From there, locate the "API Management" section on the right, and click on "Create API":

Please note that before creating an API Key, you need to:

Step 4: Choose the API key type

Select the "System Generated" type of API key and proceed by pressing "Next".

Step 5: Label your Keys

Give your API key a name of your choice, so you can easily understand that this key is connected to your CryptoSea account.

Step 6: Verify with your 2FA devices and passkeys

Step 7: Copy your API key and Secret key

Make sure to copy your API key and Secret Key somewhere safe.

Step 8: Match API key restrictions

Now you need to edit the restrictions of your API key - this will allow our platform to process your trading activity on your Binance account. Please go back to your Binance page, click "Edit restrictions" next to your keys, and mark "Enable Futures", as shown below. "Enable Reading" should be active by default.

When ready, click "Save".

*Note that in order to enable futures trading on Binance, without IP restriction, you'll need to opt out of "Default Security Controls Details".

Step 9: Go back to the CryptoSea Dashboard

Paste the copied keys in the designated fields, and proceed further by clicking the "Connect" button.

Step 10: Confirm if the Connection is Successful

If everything is done correctly, you will see Binance added to the list of your connected exchanges in your CryptoSea dashboard, together with your available trading balance.

Congratulations! You have successfully connected your Binance account to CryptoSea.

Important for Smart Bot customers:
