What if the bot doesn't open any trades?

Troubleshooting Common Issues with CryptoSea's Trading Algorithm

Updated over a year ago

While CryptoSea's trading algorithm is designed to provide profitable trading opportunities, there may be instances where the algorithm does not open positions in your account. In this article, we will address the most common issues that might be causing this and provide troubleshooting steps to resolve them.

Connection Issue with your Exchange

Ensure that your CryptoSea account is successfully connected to your preferred exchange platform. Refer to our API setup articles to verify that you have entered valid API keys in your CryptoSea profile. It is crucial to establish a proper connection between the two platforms for the algorithm to function effectively.

Funds in Spot Wallet, Not Derivatives

Verify that your USDT funds are available in your Derivatives wallet. The CryptoSea Bot executes trades specifically in the Derivatives wallet. If your funds are in the Spot wallet, transfer them to the Derivatives wallet to enable the bot to trade with those funds.

Minimum Amount Requirement

Please note that each exchange imposes a minimum trade requirement. Based on our algorithm, some trades will be executed with a small percentage of your portfolio. It is possible to encounter a series of signals with a small position size, which may not meet the minimum amount for a transaction.

To address this, we recommend starting with an initial investment of $1000-$1500 to ensure a reasonable return on investment (ROI) and to provide sufficient funds for the bot to execute all trades.

Payment Issue and Subscription Hold

If your payment has not gone through, it may result in your subscription being put on hold. In such cases, please reach out to our support team at [email protected], providing your email address. Our support team will assist you in checking the payment status and provide further guidance.

Neutral Positions

The CryptoSea algorithm prioritizes risk management and avoids engaging in risky trades. During periods of no profitable opportunities or market stagnation, the bot may open neutral positions. Once a noticeable trend emerges, the algorithm will identify it and start opening short or long trades accordingly.
