Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security that helps to keep your CryptoSea account safe. By enabling 2FA, you'll be prompted to verify your identity using a unique code generated by an authentication app on your mobile device whenever you log in or make changes to your account security settings.
How do I enable 2FA?
Step 1: Access Your Account Settings
Log in to your CryptoSea account.
Click on your profile icon to open your account settings.
Step 2: Enable 2FA
Locate the "Two-Step Verification" tab, and ensure the toggle switch for 2FA is turned on.
Step 3: Install Google Authenticator or Authy
Install the authenticator app on your device.
Open the app and click to add a new account.
Scan the QR code provided by CryptoSea or manually enter the generated secret key into the app.
Once added, the app will generate a 6-digit code.
Step 4: Enter the code back into your CryptoSea account.
Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and press the "Activate 2FA" button to complete the setup process.
*Kindly be aware that 2FA codes expire after a certain period and are automatically refreshed to ensure your continued security. Make sure to pick a valid code.
Your account is secured now! 2FA has been successfully activated. From now on, whenever you log in to your CryptoSea account you'll be prompted to verify your identity using the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app.
How do I disable my 2FA?
To disable your 2FA, you need to go to the same "Two-Step Verification" tab, and simply turn off the toggle.
